West Coast Media Jobs: With open roles at KATU/KUNP, Sound Publishing & more
And an announcement...
First, a note from Mallory
Hi everyone,
I’ve been alluding to making some additions to the newsletter since June, when I got laid off from Spotify (and released from my non-compete). Well, now I’m ready to announce them.
I will be turning on paid subscriptions next week. It will NOT affect the main job listings newsletter and the Gig Seekers Board, both of which will always be FREE. Those features won’t change in any way.
If you previously pledged a subscription in the past (thank you!), you will be charged on Oct. 18th. If you want to make a pledge or cancel your pledge before that date, here are the instructions.
Why get a paid subscription? With a paid sub, you’ll get discounts on 1:1 coaching sessions with me, which include LinkedIn/resume interviews, career coaching, and even podcast consulting, my soon-to-be revived Trends Report email about the job trends I’m seeing, and discounts/early bird access to some webinars I’m hoping to do.
As a fellow job seeker, I know money is tight, which is why nothing will change with the main features. But if you’d like to earn a paid sub in a different way, Substack has a new feature…
The Referral Program: This newsletter has thrived on referrals and word-of-mouth, which I’m so grateful for. Now, with Substack’s referral program feature, you can get rewarded for it and earn up to 1 year of a paid subscription free via referring new subscribers. More info here.
That all being said, if you don’t want to opt for a paid sub at all, that’s totally fine. Nothing will change. You can also still support this newsletter via one-time donations on Ko-Fi and sponsored ads.
Thank you again for all of your support.
All the best,
Mallory
