I'm an experienced features writer based in San Francisco whose longtime beat has been design and its cultural intersections thereof. On the national front, I recently landed the *cover* of Elle Decor with my story on a kitesurfer's Maui home. Regionally, I also made the cover of Sactown Magazine with a 5,000-word deep-dive into the midcentury design history of a beloved, but erstwhile, Northern California roadside attraction. You can get a sense of my 20-year career in lifestyle journalism—which includes not just design, but also travel and food features, plus in-depth profiles on creative people and passion projects—on my website: http://leilanimarielabong.com/

I'm primarily a sports reporter finishing up my master's degree from Northwestern University. I love sports beat reporting because of the relationships I can develop and the storylines I can follow, but I'm even more interested in enterprise reporting and the role sports plays in our society and culture. I went to high school in the San Francisco Bay Area and would be interested in moving back to California or elsewhere on the West Coast. Hi, I'm Padmini. I'm a Bay Area-based print & audio journalist and educator. I write and produce reported narrative features about complex systems and complicated people. Recently, I’ve published a series of features about the Disneyfication of New Orleans and the resulting closures of strip clubs in the French Quarter in Next City and Jezebel. This set of features explores the intersection between labor struggle, patriarchy, and gentrification in New Orleans. In 2020, I was Bitch Media's Sexual Politics fellow. My print work has appeared in Bitch Magazine, Jezebel, Next City, Zora Magazine, Outside Magazine, The Times of India, Huffington Post, Lenny Letter, and Firstpost.com, among others. My audio work has appeared on KALX radio, iPondr, Americans in Paris (a podcast of the American Scholar), and Richmond Confidential, among other publications.

I got my start in journalism in high school, and since then I have always gravitated towards Arts and Entertainment stories. Serving as A&E Editor my senior year on our high school newspaper, The Eagle Eye, I expanded and improved coverage of our school arts departments as well as students who accomplished amazing things artistically. As I began my college career, I took a year off from journalism and realized that I really missed it, so I decided to pursue the University of Notre Dame's Journalism, Ethics and Democracy (JED) minor starting my sophomore year. I was fortunate enough to take a trip over Spring Break to Puerto Rico to report about the aftermath of Hurricane Maria in March of 2019. The JED minor also secured me two professional journalism internships at The South Bend Tribune as well as The Los Angeles Times. After working for the LA Times, I realized that entertainment journalism gives me the most purpose, especially when it comes to explaining creators' messages behind works like music, film and television shows. Most recently I finished a long-form research piece that culminated in my senior thesis: "The Myths of Taylor Swift: Race, Gender and Politics & Constructing Miss Americana." My thesis as well as my clips can be found in my portfolio: https://www.clippings.me/users/dessikgomez

I'm a journalist who has covered general assignment and breaking news for about two years, in addition to leading long-term projects! I've also done photojournalism and have a lot of experience in taking my own photos while also reporting and writing on deadline. I have a degree in journalism and a masters degree in investigative journalism. I am based in Phoenix, Arizona but am very open to relocating for the right job. I would love to connect with an organization that values human-centered storytelling and accountability. View my best work at https://www.chloeleejones.com/

I'm primarily a features writer that also covers business and breaking news/crime as a staff writer at The Signal newspaper in Santa Clarita in the L.A. area. I am hoping to move down to San Diego or Orange counties and am looking for a full-time position. While I've got a diverse portfolio, my passion lies with features. Here's a link to my portfolio, which highlights a lot of my published clips: http://emalvarenga.com/

I'm an entertainment freelance writer. Last month for Brooklyn Magazine, I spent a week with the two gay Mexican immigrants portrayed in the new Sony Pictures Classics film, "I Carry You With Me." I profiled them here: https://www.bkmag.com/2021/06/28/i-carry-you-with-me-portrays-the-american-dream-in-slow-motion/

I want to branch out into other publications and profile/interview more interesting artists in America and beyond.
