West Coast Media Jobs: With open roles at People, Lookout Local, The Seattle Times, & more!
And introducing a new section!
Hey everyone,
For months, I've been wanting to add more features to this newsletter, but kept running into roadblocks. I'm also very aware that some people only subscribe for the job postings (and that's fair), so I didn't want to bother people with extra emails if they didn't want them.
But now that Substack has rolled out sections, I’ve added an optional component of the newsletter that you can opt into if you want to receive tips, Q&As, and other features in your inbox 1-3 times a month. I'm calling it West Coast Media Extra and you can opt-in, 100% free, through your WCMJ Substack account page. See the screenshot below.
Just check the box next to “West Coast Media Jobs Extra” and you’re all set!
I'm also still in the process of building out the content for this, so if you have any suggestions, submissions, or ideas, let me know. I'm reaching out to all kinds of journalists to share their job searching, hiring, and work experiences, so if you’d like to share in any way, please get in touch!
All the best,
Mallory
